A: Free! All you need to do is create your account, and you can start enjoying PreView! However, we do offer some optional paid services such as resume check.
Q: Can I use PREVIEW if I’m not in Vancouver?
A: Yes you can! Just be mindful that there might be a time zone difference depending on where you are.
Q: I’m not an undergraduate student. Can I use PREVIEW?
A: Of course!
Q: PREVIEW is currently in beta. What does that mean?
A: We are constantly improving and rolling out new features. Check back every once in a while for exciting updates!
Q: I’ve submitted an informational interview request with a mentor. What happens next?
A: Once you submit a request, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours as proof that we have received your request. You will receive a final confirmation email within 72 hours of your submission once your request is processed.
Q: Am I guaranteed an informational interview once I submit a request?
A: This would depend on the mentor’s availability. We promise that we will try our best to meet every request.
Q: How do I connect with mentors on PREVIEW?
A: We use Zoom to connect users with mentors. Once your appointment with a mentor is confirmed, we will send you a Zoom invitation. Simply follow the instructions to download and run zoom. Every invitation is unique and specifically tailored to your appointment. We ask our users to start Zoom 5-10 minutes before their meeting time.
Q: What is Zoom? How do I get started?
A: Zoom is a free video-conferencing software. Think of it as Skype, but you don’t need create an account or anything. A: While there will be no consequences in cancelling a meeting request, we do not recommend it. Notify us immediately:
Q: Can I use my friend’s account to try out PREVIEW?
A: Theoretically, you could. However, we strongly suggest you to create your own account to use PreView since the mentors and hiring managers on our platform will identify you by the account you are associated with.
